GPA Midstream has reached an agreement with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) that will provide members with more time to comply with costly portions of the Gas Mega Rule.

Implementing the changes on the tight deadlines in the original rule would have put a strain on member companies. Under the agreement, companies will get an extra year if they show they are working towards compliance.

As part of the agreement, GPA Midstream educated members about compliance requirements. The seminar, held just after Thanksgiving, had more than 50 attendees in compliance roles with their companies.
