Mentorship program elevates GPA Midstream Convention experience for new midstream employees

Are you a new midstream industry employee or a first-time attendee at the GPA Midstream Convention? The Technical Committees Onboarding Mentorship Program (TCOMP) is here to help you get the most out of your experience. This program supports and guides new participants to seamlessly integrate into the technical community of GPA Midstream and GPSA.

By participating in TCOMP, new industry professionals gain the support of experienced committee members who serve as mentors throughout the event. This mentorship accelerates your integration into the associations' technical activities and ensures you feel welcomed and ready to contribute. The goal is for mentees to have a more valuable experience at the convention than they would on their own and to join a committee and volunteer, enhancing both personal and professional growth.

Mentors and first-time mentees from GPA Midstream and GPSA member companies receive a 50% refund of their event registration fee upon successful completion of the program. While non-members and returning mentees can still join the program, they will not be eligible for this financial incentive.

To participate, mentees must complete an application, and mentors must fill out a volunteer form. These forms help match mentors and mentees based on job responsibilities, employer type, and employer size. This strategic matching ensures that mentors and mentees share relevant experiences and knowledge.

Program highlights include:

• Orientation Session: The kick-off event introduces attendees to GPA Midstream and GPSA, the technical community, committee structures, protocols, and available resources.

• Mentorship Activities: Throughout the event, mentees shadow their mentors, gaining insights into the value of sessions and meetings, learning industry-specific terms, and having questions answered on the spot.

• Networking Opportunity: Make at least one new industry friend just by participating. At the Orientation Session you’ll meet the other mentors and mentees, and throughout the event your mentor will introduce you to industry veterans who return to the GPA Midstream Convention each year.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your professional journey with GPA Midstream and GPSA. Register today to join the TCOMP Program and make the most of your event experience!
