Celebrating Excellence: Dave Morse Honored with Midcontinent Lifetime Achievement Award

In a fitting tribute to a life of dedication, leadership, and service, industry veteran Dave Morse received a prestigious Midcontinent GPA Midstream Lifetime Achievement Award during their Annual Conference held in Tulsa, Okla. on May 2. With a career spanning more than six decades, Morse has left an indelible mark on the midstream landscape, embodying the spirit of excellence and innovation.

Morse graduated from Iowa State University in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-55, where he honed his skills and internalized the values of discipline and dedication, which would be the foundation of his career in energy.

In 1955, Morse's illustrious career in the engineering industry commenced as he joined the ranks of Ingersoll-Rand / Dresser-Rand. Over the ensuing 62 years, he ascended through various leadership roles, making an impact on the organizations he served. His tenure was characterized by professional excellence and commitment to mentorship, shaping the next generation of leaders within Ingersoll-Rand, Dresser-Rand, and Exterran.

Morse played a pivotal role in establishing multiple GPA Midstream chapters, including those in Lafayette, La., New Orleans, and Oklahoma. His leadership fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange within these communities, enriching the industry landscape.

Morse served as the company GPSA Midstream representative for both Ingersoll-Rand and Dresser-Rand, dedicating years of service to furthering the association's mission and objectives. His visionary leadership and strategic acumen propelled the Midcontinent Chapter to greater heights with untiring work to stimulate membership growth and increase engagement.

One of Morse's enduring legacies lies in his contribution to the GPSA "Cooling Tower Committee," which evolved into the Hospitality Suites initiative. For three decades, Morse, alongside his colleagues from Ingersoll-Rand and Dresser-Rand, spearheaded this endeavor, fostering camaraderie and networking opportunities within the industry.
