Facilities Design Recommended Practices

The Facilities Design Recommended Practices are designed to serve as a guide for project engineers and others who are charged with preparing specifications for the construction of natural gas processing plants, compressor stations, and other midstream industry facilities. The Recommended Practices can form the foundation of the preparation of specifications for operating companies, engineering companies, and construction contractors. The construction of a natural gas processing plant is complex with many components. These specifications are not all inclusive as numerous additional piping and plant equipment specifications will be required for the complete design package. The Recommended Practices are designed to be used for the preparation of piping, major equipment, construction, testing, and other specifications when preparing for the construction of midstream facilities or the purchase of equipment. These general specifications should aid in the preparation of specifications for a particular project leaving the actual specification requirements to the discretion of each company and its responsible engineer in charge. ***Offered as PDF document only - no hard copies available***
