About the Conference

GPA Midstream was founded in 1921 because the industry was in dire need of technical standards. Since then, our technical committees have developed, and we maintain, nearly 30 industry standards and reference bulletins, and we have also published more than 200 Research Reports. Our technical committees and workgroups are actively engaged year-round to ensure the technical information that companies use to make important operating decisions remains accurate. GPA Midstream's Fall Technical Conference is where our technical committees and workgroups meet face-to-face and includes educational sessions and networking opportunities, all for a modest registration fee. Just like our annual convention, this conference is being planned by your industry peers, so topics will be relevant and timely. Last year's inaugural Fall Technical Conference far surpassed GPA Midstream's expectations for attendance and was highly successful because of the modest cost to attend and content focused on midstream's technical activities and issues. Certificates of attendance will be issued for each educational session.

GPA Midstream acknowledges that COVID-19 still presents many unknowns when it comes to restrictions on large gatherings in the future, so we will be prepared to take committee meetings and speakers' presentations to a virtual format if we are not able to hold the live event.

Call for Papers and Speakers

If you are interested in applying to speak at the Fall Technical Conference, we are accepting abstracts until July 1. GPA Midstream acknowledges that COVID-19 still presents many unknowns when it comes to restrictions on large gatherings in the future, so we will be prepared to take committee meetings and speakers' presentations to a virtual format if we are not able to hold the live event, so speakers will still have the opportunity to present to registered conference attendees regardless of the conference format.

Before submitting an abstract, please know that first, and most importantly, you agree to ensure that your presentation is a sales-free zone. The primary focus of the GPA Midstream Fall Technical Conference is sharing knowledge and best practices to benefit the midstream industry as a whole. With that in mind, we are not looking for papers or presentations pitching a specific company or service. Please review the other speaker guidelines before submitting your abstract:

If selected:

Failure to participate in these events and to submit presentations according to the dates outlined in your confirmation may result in being removed from the program/agenda.

What we're looking for:

Technical presentations covering the following topics ...

How to be considered
All authors who send an abstract to GPA Midstream by July 1 will be considered as a potential presenter at the 2020 GPA Midstream Fall Technical Conference. Please submit your abstract using our online form. You will need to create an account to make a submission (simply click Submit Abstract to proceed on the linked page), which will provide you with access to edit your submission through the July 1 Call for Papers deadline.
